Long Black Train
Couldn’t help thinking of the Long Black Feign.. er.. Train whilst visiting the countryside via newsprint recently. Reminded me of the great song by Josh Turner, got to thinkin’, an’ I took some liberties, hee-haw… and just had to include my creation, here… {;>
There’s a long black feign,
Comin’ down the line,
Feedin’ off the souls who are sick of all the lyin’,
Rails of sin, only evil remains
Watch out brother for that Long Black Feign
Look to the heavens
You can look to the skies
You can find redemption
Staring back into your eyes
There is protection and there’s Peace the same,
turn in’ your ticket stop the Long Black Drain
‘Cause there’s vict’ry in the Lord I say,
Vict’ry in the lord,
Cling to the Father and His holy name,
And don’t go ridin’ on that Long Black Thang
There’s an engineer on that Long Black Feign,
Makin’ you wonder if the ride is worth the pain,
He’s just a waiting on your vote today
Ridin’ abidin” uptight Long Black Frame,
But you know there’s vict’ry in the Lord I say,
Vict’ry in the lord,
Cling to the Father and His holy name,
And dont go ridin’ wit’ that Long Black Feign
Well, I can hear the chickin’ lickin’ a mile away,
It tastes so good
But I must stay away
That feign is a doozy, makin’ everybody sceer’d
But its only destination is the middle of nowhere,
in the city of Hopenchange.
But you know theres vict’ry in the Lord I say,
Vict’ry in the Lord,
Cling to the Father and His holy name,
And don’t go courtin’ that Long Black Feign.
I said cling to the Father and His holy name
And dont go ridin’ on that long black train
Yeah, watch out brother for that long black train
That Devil’s a drivin’ that long black train.
